Six Ways To Get Those All Elusive Home Business Leads
One of the very best ways to get your home business leads is by using all the resources that the internet has to offer, this is what I do everyday but don’t forget to talk to people when you are out and about. If you don’t like talking to people, get over it, this really is skill you need to master because very few people have massive success in this industry without talking to their prospects.
- Start a blog and blog regularly, making sure you have at least two or three ways to capture your prospects information so you can follow up with them
- Use social media, Facebook and Twitter to send quality information about webinars and such. Not too pushy but create curiosity.
- Post classified adds on classified ad sites there are literally thousands of them online.
- Make videos and market them.
- Make use of other peoples lists by sending out solo ads to online newsletters.
- Use pay per click advertising such as Google or Bing.
Now I don’t recommend you do all these put concentrate on just one or two and learn how to use these correctly in order to generate your home business leads. This is the system I use for all my training and business building support, they provide all the websites and sales funnels that we all need to create our leads for our home business, see here: DaveSharpMarketing.com
Don’t forget that our primary purpose with our business should be to collect leads then we get them into our sales funnels and when the time is right for them they will join us.
That is why generating these home business leads is very important and generating our own has got to be a lot better than purchasing them. We can probably generate our own leads just as cheaply as buying them, and with bought leads you have one shot at getting them to take action, whilst our own leads could be with us for years.
Generating Home Business Leads Offline!
Don’t forget to talk to everyone you meet about your business you never know who might be interested. Don’t make a point of going out to prospect, but rather prospect whilst you are out.
Finally, just do it!

Dave this is a great post although I do think you should try and do the majority of the steps (i.e. not just focus on one thing) you’ve suggested. (depending on your budget and whether you can afford advertising).
The more you do in terms of traffic generation the more business you’re have. It’s simple maths and the more traffic you get to your website (targeted) the more sales you get…:)

You are correct Lilach but it is easy to get overwhelmed when we get started, what I should have said was start off with one or two until you master them and then move on to others.
These are all such great tip. I think being consistent is the most important. If you work your business like a hobby you make hobby money. If you are consistent and learn you will create a lifestyle most dream of. Thanks Ryan

Dave, Leads are so important. We can certainly use these tips you’ve outlined!

I’m glad you mentioned to focus on only one or two when you start. Wait till you are generating 5-10 leads a day consistently with them and then move on to the next if you choose. Thanks David!

Great post Dave, so right about choosing 1 or 2 to focus on or risk overwhelm! Thanks!

While all these are good components of a business to learn, as individual entrepreneurs we can only efficiently learn one thing before implementing the next. I went nowhere for 2 years trying to do everything at once. Like Duke said, manage to get results with one tactic before getting overwhelmed with the next.
You were lucky then Preston I spent closer to 5 trying to do everything, OK I made a bit of money but not anything sustainable that is why I like the blogging model.
Dave, you said, “I don’t recommend you do all these put concentrate on just one or two and learn how to use these correctly in order to generate your home business leads.”
If you had to pick one which would it be?
Thanks!

I would start with Blogging Terry but then this is so integrated with social media also that it would be difficult to just pick one.
Dave great post. The subject of doing many or one at a time is tricky. I believe that it depends on the person, their ability, time and skill. But one thing is for sure, if you stretch yourself too much, you end up dead in the water. Point taken. Thanks for sharing.
