It’s a strange world we live in at the moment everything seems to be turning upside down, doom and gloom is everywhere, but we don’t have to be part of it, whether we have a great year simply depends on us. It is our beliefs that will determine whether life is good to us or not.
Believe In Success And Create Your Own Future.
There is a great book that was written more than 70 years ago called ‘Think and Grow Rich‘ and in it it’s author Napoleon Hill introduces us to what we know call the law of attraction. Briefly this states that we are what we believe and we are in a certain place in the world because this is the signal we have put out. We are where we believe we should be!
Take a look at most successful people, they are successful because they believe it is there right to be so, most people in lowly jobs are there simply because they believe that is where they belong.
Let me give you a real life example of this! My father in law worked on the railway when I first met Jane, my wife, he was a senior guard, a position that carried a lot of responsibility as he was in fact in charge of the train. Now the management at British Rail recognised him as an intelligent and diligent employee and because of that offered to send him at the companies expense to there own training establishment to train to become a station manager.
He would not do it, for the simple reason that he did not believe that was his place, he thought he would be betraying his working class roots if he went into management. This particularly British belief system was so ingrained in his mind that it stopped him creating a better future for himself and his family. Now I’m not knocking my father in law because I loved him dearly, but I’m just offering an example of how belief can hold us back.
What might his life have been if he had been taught that he could achieve whatever he wanted!
So we all have the beliefs that we were taught as we grew up, but that does not mean we are stuck with them, we can use the power of the subconscious by the means of daily affirmations to change our belief systems.
One of the ways to do this is to fantasise a better life – call it daydreaming if you want!
Here’s is what you do instead of just reciting a few affirmations every day, or maybe I should say as well as doing your affirmations, picture yourself where you want to be like this:
Create the picture in your mind of your ideal life, add colour to this picture then add emotion to your picture feel yourself in your picture exactly where you want to be. This sends a very powerful message to the universe and the only thing you need to do now is ask yourself a couple of questions.
Question 1. Are you able! Are you able to get out of your comfort zone and seize the opportunities that will present themselves, your dreams don’t come true on there own you must take advantage of everything that comes your way.
Question 2. Are you Willing! Are you willing to make the sacrifices necessary to achieve your goals, are you willing to get out of bed at 5am everyday if you have to, in order to do the work that is required.
If you can answer the above questions in a positive manner then you are on the way to creating your own future, so to sum up, fantasize a better life, believe in success and then get off your but and make it happen.
That is exactly what I am doing and you can do it too, you only have to believe you can.

David this is absolutely true. Belief is the biggest fault most people have, its those who believe they can who achieve greatness. I am will, and I am able. Thanks Ryan

Ryan I think it takes more than believing. It takes faith and Dave rightly said.
Dave spot on as always:) Mindset is so important in business. You have to believe and visualise your success for it to happen.

So true Lilach, thanks for the comment.
Hey David,
Wayne Dyer said it very well: I’ll see it, when I’ll believe it.
When you believe, it’s already a done deal. Now you have to confirm with your actions. There is much more personal power and capacity to act when starting from a position of certainty and even gratitude.
One of the major beliefs that I look forward to make it a certain fact is the abudance of life: we really can be/do/have anything we choose. Everything is possible!
Thanks for sharing,
Radu

I read this book (Think and Grow Rich) several years ago, and I have to say that I don’t remember all of it…but this one book I do remember.
“Everything is possible for him who believes.” Mark 9:23
Great post. Loved the analogy!

I think Steve Jobs said it best. It went something like this: we usually go about our days not trying to smash into too many walls, but if you look around, you realize that every single physical thing around you, was made by people… that are not a whole lot smarter than you.

Dave I really appreciate what you penned down here. I believe as you rightly stated that FAITH is the ultimate aim that we should all have. Faith definitely goes further than believing. You have to be your own fan and cheer yourself to success. Thanks Dave for giving us some old age wisdom (LOL)
Your welcome Martin glad you ‘got it’.
I found all you posted to be right to the point and very true important valuable information. We all need to learn, or accept the fact that our thoughts are powerful, when we use them right we will see value. When we stay negative in our thoughts and actions we will see pretty sad results. Thank you for the valuable information you shared Dave. God bless you in business and in life.
Thank you Daniel and thanks for taking the time to stop by and leave a comment.
Your advice makes such sense. I would only add that you also need to try radiate towards people who have a similar mindset. Postivity breeds positivity. Thanks for taking time to share your advice
